Sage amethyst, found exclusively in the Bilk Mountains of northern Nevada (USA), is a rare stone that blends the lilac hues of agate with the violet-lavender of amethyst which some describe as looking like "grape jelly".
Translucent like chalcedony, it is streaked with black manganese veins or dendrites, adding to its mysterious character.
